Lawyer - Nicholas Corr - Partner
Nicholas Corr has been a partner of DSC Lawyers since April 2007. Prior to becoming a partner, Nicholas had been employed by the firm since January 2004 to run its litigation and dispute resolution department. He has extensive experience in acting for and advising clients from a wide variety of industries in relation to many different types of litigation and areas of law.
Nicholas completed his secondary education at Eltham College in Victoria and graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He is a Member of the Law Institute of Victoria and a Committee Member of the Trapdoor Ski Club at Mount Hotham.
Nicholas has a long family history within the legal industry. Vernon Corr and Allen Corr were both partners in the law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth. Vernon is Nicholas’ grandfather and Allen is his granduncle. The founding partners of Corrs Chambers Westgarth, which was originally named Corr and Corr, were Vernon and Allan’s father and their uncle.
Commercial litigation matters which Nicholas regularly runs are conducted in various Courts and Tribunals including the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Magistrates Court, County Court, Supreme Court, Federal Magistrates Court and Federal Court. He also advises clients in relation to non-litigious matters and where it is in the interests of his clients as to available avenues for Alternative Dispute Resolution.
