As a separate arm to its business, the firm offers agency services to law firms who may require the assistance of an agent either because they are located outside of the Melbourne CBD or because there are areas of law in which they do not specialise and in relation to which they require the firm’s assistance.

History
The firm traces it origins to the 1930’s when it was established by Ernest Allen. At that stage, it was a sole practitioner firm and traded under the name of Ernest F. Allen, Barrister and Solicitor. The firm was later purchased by FW (“Bill”) Carew and became known as W Carew and Co. In the late 1960’s Peter Hardham joined Bill Carew as a partner, which lead to a later change of the firm’s name to W Carew, Hardham and Co.
It was in the early 1970’s that Bruce Sundberg and Denis Dalton became partners of the firm and its name was later changed to Hardham, Dalton & Sundberg. In April 2007, Denis Dalton retired from his position as a partner and became a consultant. At the same time, Nicholas Corr became a partner after having been an employee practitioner at the firm for over three years. Throughout the firm’s history it has prided itself on combining the professionalism of a boutique law firm with the accessibility and personal attention necessary to service the needs of its clients.
